"The bridges in Guizhou are spectacular, and the ancient villages deep in the mountains are extremely well-preserved. Tradition and modernity blend wonderfully here," said GASPARINI Alessio, an Italian rider from GQT TEAM, sharing his unique racing experience with reporters after the S4 Qianxinan Passion Fruit Stage of the 2nd Tour of Guizhou Eco-Province International Road Cycling Race on October 21.

As a member of GQT TEAM, Alessio plays an important tactical role within the team. GQT TEAM is named after the local specialty agricultural product "Rosa roxburghii" (prickly pear) of Guizhou, dedicated to integrating sports competition with local characteristic culture. In Alessio's view, racing for such a team is in itself an excellent way to understand the culture of Southwest China.

At the same time, the mega-bridges rising from deep valleys and high mountains, framed alongside the tranquil ancient villages at their feet, created a strong visual contrast that gave him a direct sense of China's development speed. "Building such a convenient transportation network among the mountains is amazing," Alessio said. He noted that it is these well-developed infrastructures that ensure the smooth running of the race and make it possible for him to explore this land in depth.
